"A part of my heart go into all my works. I put a lot of love into each of my creations and I hope that this will help make the world a bit kinder and happier."
Lana Zuravska
I am an artist and designer studied puppetry at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Before coming to Central, I obtained a BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Art and Design from Windsor College with Distinction. While pursuing an Access to Higher Education Diploma there, I created the stage design for Alice in Wonderland and made puppets for my exam exhibition for which I was given the Award for Excellence. I like experimentation and finding creative approaches to my work. I make felted sculptures, some of which are held in private collections worldwide. A part of my heart goes into all my work. I put a lot of love into each creation and hope that this will help make the world a bit kinder and happier. I am particularly attracted to working within puppet theatre because of the possibilities it offers for creating a synthesis of the arts and their expressions - literature with drama, music with dance, fine arts with crafts - to form a single organic aesthetic experience. I dream of staging a musical play or ballet using puppets, dancers and musicians. Through my work I would really like to remind people of the colourfulness of this life; about how we can enjoy the most ordinary trifles, dream and believe in real miracles and laugh because of feelings of joy and warmth. I believe in this because, despite all my complex life experience, I am still a child.
